According to a recent survey, including physicians practicing individually or in hospitals, 30% of practices with more than 10 clinicians would like to replace or update their Electronic Health Record (EHR) system within few years. Of hospitals and organizations looking to make this change, 93% stated that cloud-based mobile solutions for on-demand data were their top priority. Furthermore, 87% cited telehealth support as their key interest, while 82% mentioned that they wanted convenient solutions such as decision support, electronic data sharing, voice recognition, etc.
However, 9 out of 10 individual practices did not agree on optimizing advanced EHR tools such as patient engagement, secure messaging, and electronic data sharing. The smaller the practice, the less likely physicians were to use advanced IT tools. Source: EHR Intelligence
