I often find that different Pediatricians have different policies/ charges for giving vaccination? I charge Consultation fees plus vaccine cost at my clinic and most of the patients have no problem as they understand that baby will be thoroughly examined as well as have a developmental assesment, anthropometry and dietary advice at regular intervals which is equally important. This process of history and examination takes equal and sometimes more time than an average consulation ( say for cough and cold). However some doctors charge less and some give take only vaccine cost. This gives a impression to parents that some doctors are overcharging and is not justified?

What is concensus for this common Pediatric procedure in Office practice? Can one develop some concensus for a good and healthy experience for both patients and doctors?
