Recently, a Deputy CMO was caught red-handed for accepting a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh in the name of registration of a nursing home. A trap was laid by the vigilance department after they got a tip from one of their informers. A case was filed against this doctor. Such incidents involve only a few doctors, but the whole doctor community suffers! After such incidences, people tend to lose trust in doctors. Every doctor is seen with suspicion.
What is your opinion regarding such incidences? We say that doctors are being blamed for everything that happens around and media portrays their negative image. But don’t you think that some doctors, by doing such practices, are giving media a chance to write negatively about them. I think all the Doctors should not be judged by an act done by just one doctor! What is your opinion? What measures can we take to retain our patient's trust?
