It is mid-February and the youth in the nation will be facing a challenging time for the next 2 to 3 months trying to cope up with exam stress from various exams including Medical Entrance Exam. Many of us will come across cases where these youngsters will need therapy for various reasons such as acidity from late night study sessions to anxiety and depression in extreme cases. As a responsible doctor,how should we provide them conservative therapy to cope up with these?
Is placebo treatment an option for such patients? What are do's and don'ts while prescribing these patients without making them dependant on drug therapy for the future?
