A young male post RTA have small cerebral contusion, haemothx Rt , B/L lung contusions, B/L multiple ribs # - flail chest, Rt humerus #, on ventillator electively- post thoracotomy. Patient is haemodynamically stable not on ionotropes & Hb is around 10 - blood (PCV) tranfused periop .

My question is whether albumin/lipid infusions indicated or beneficial in such cases or high protein RT feed can suffice? Should one be cautious about albumin related increased mortality before prescribing albumin in ICU?
