Sulfonylureas (SUs) are among the frequently prescribed anti-diabetic agents due to their inexpensiveness, effectiveness, and tolerability. 1,2 Several studies have demonstrated the lower risk of cardiovascular (CV) -related mortality with Glimepiride (modern SU) compared to other SUs. 3 Moreover, the results of a recently published cardiovascular outcome trial have also evidenced the CV neutral profile of Glimepiride in adults with type 2 diabetes and CV risk. 4 Sanofi and Docplexus have organized an interactive webinar on 21st January 2020 at 8:30 AM .
