INTRODUCTION: The Indian health care system is largely divided into Private Sector and Public sector, with a small existence of charitable trust hospital which offers health care at a concessional rate. Major health issues, however are predominantly dealt either in Private or Public hospitals only. Only about 20-25% of population can afford health care at a private sector, which is dominated by Corporate hospitals.
Thus, the major burden is borne by the Public hospitals.
