Being a physician nearing 5yrs, (I mean no disrespect to any speciality and UGs), my concern is that the borders between general physicians and only MBBS graduates and family physicians are blurring so much!! In addition, seeing the way cities are getting flooded with superspeciality consultants even for infections, it sometimes makes me wonder, whether general physicians have any scope 5-10 yrs from now? Or will they be restricted to jobs of DMOs?
The way MD physicians have to compete with RMPs BAMS and BHMS people, practicing general medicine, (a unique problem to Indian docs, I think), though passionate about general medicine, ON and OFF I feel insecure. Any physicians sharing similar concerns?
