Respected senior and experienced members, I am an aspiring young surgeon about to join a superspecialty DNB Course.With the demand of Surgical Oncology growing by leaps and bounds day by day and with cut throat competition getting a seat has almost become impossible and more a matter of luck than hard work.On top of these, DNB courses are conducted in either private or corporate hospitals where the salary is meagre and not more than 40k [except in Delhi].To make matter worse an yearly tuition fee of more than 50 k has to be paid.Also at the end of even these 3 years people emerge half learned and unconfident to perform surgeries.I hope many would agree with me on this aspect! I would like to know if there are any scholarships available which I can apply at this stage to fund my tuition fees and expenses??
