Self-Sampling for HPV (Self-HPV) using dry swabs performed in cervical cancer screening is more sensitive than FTA cartridge method, the new study has suggested. The human papillomavirus (HPV) screening is one of the most important screening test performed for cervical cancer. The screening for HPV can be performed by self-sampling, which is done in woman’s own home and privacy. Likewise, the sampling can also be done in the presence of physicians or other healthcare providers. Many studies have suggested that the self-sampling provides better results than cervicovaginal sampling by doctors.
