A new McAfee Health & Wellness Study revealed that 71% of Indians have been targeted by health scams, with social media emerging as the most common channel for fraudulent health-related content. The survey, conducted among 1,000 adults in India, found that scammers are increasingly exploiting people's interest in health and wellness through deceptive online tactics. The study found that 53% of respondents encountered scams on social media, followed by messaging apps (37%), phone calls (33%), websites or online ads (30%), emails (26%), online marketplaces (24%), text messages (23%), and in-person interactions (19%).
