An elderly male patient about 60 years of age, suddenly complained of syncopal attack making him fall. This happened few times and  I was called in. During my examination of the patient ,the pt.had an attack of severe syncope and then came to normal self after few minutes. I  asked the patient to get admitted under a cardiologist. He was admitted and a barrage of investigations were done without any fruitful result.

He did not have the syncope during his stay. So the cardiologist one day rang me after 5-6 days saying that he is going to discharge the patient as he could not find anything wrong. He then asked me to describe the incidents leading to the episode. I replied that I took his BP in the supine position and asked him to sit in the bed to get his BP in sitting posture. As I was measuring the BP, the incident happened, and I was not able to detect pulse beat during that moment.…
