I have seen medical colleges/ hospitals insisting that the doctors should compulsorily wear their coats at all times. Whether they are going to meet the Dean or Superintendent/Director or going to the cafeteria or going to present themselves in front of MCI inspectors (esp. then). They equate it with doctors uniform. According to me, it should not be worn outside our work area i.e.
OPD/lab/DH. They carry germs which we will be spreading all over the place. What are your views on this? Should doctors wear the coat or apron outside their OPD/ laboratory/ dissection hall?
