After attending a conference yesterday when myself and my doctor friend were travelling from Bangalore to Mumbai. I had a ticket for a flight at 6 pm and my friend at 9 pm. We both reached the airport at 4 pm and requested the airline Staff to consider the preponement of 9 pm ticket to 6 pm flight if there are any vacant seats. The staff told us there are many seats available but you have to pay extra Rs.1000 for the change.
We requested that we will wait till last minute and when you are closing the check-in, and if there is avialble seat up to that time( so you do not loose money, if some last moment passenger want seat and pay you extra charges. In spite of repeated request they charged rs 1000. My question is - why all the doctors should provide free services to an airline on humanity grounds when there are in board emergencies. Don't you all think that we should start sending them…
