A doctor with no influence or any kind of political support was assaulted by advocate Anna Nagar, Chennai on 5th of March, 2018 for no reason except that he had just questioned why the person had bumped into his car from behind and driving quite rash when he had girl child with him. Though he had defended himself (non-violently) he was being blamed for the same and just because he is a doctor, he should not react. He has been physically traumatized and has been through medical treatment for the same.
Though this may seem just a small issue, the advocate using his power of the judiciary is making threats to get him arrested, just to extort money from the doctor by threatening to file a fir. Hopefully, the community will support and show a way out from this extortion.
