Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is manifested in two main subtypes Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC). It is thought to be a multifactorial disease arising due to genetic, immunological, and environmental factors. Although it is a chronic inflammatory condition, neither Β CD nor UC is restricted to only gastrointestinal manifestations but also to extraintestinal manifestations. The prevalence of dermatological manifestations ranges from 6 to 47%.
