Young male presented with history suggestive of small Bowel Obstruction for few days only. USG /CT scan confirmed mid Ileal obstruction due to stricture with big ENTEROLITH formation proximal to narrowing. Laparotomy was done. There were two nearby passable strictures in mid-Ileum with ENTEROLITH. The classical sign suggestive of Chron's Disease was encroachment of mesenteriy over bowel.
There were no tubercles or mesenteric lymph nodes enlargement. Enterolith was removed, biopsy taken & stricturoplasty was done. HP report showed only acute mucosal ulceration. Blood marker ASCA & stool Calprotectin were negative for Chron's. Now planning for Colonoscopy for further evaluation & to get tissue for stamping of the Chron's.
