During the pandemic, COVID-19 fever clinics helped segregate patients from the general population. However, these clinics faced major challenges, including the overwhelming number of patients with COVID-19-like respiratory symptoms, complexity in distinguishing between the respiratory diseases, reduced speed and efficiency in assessment, delivering patient care, and increased risk of transmission to clinical staff. To address some of these problems, a clinic in Australia implemented a safe and effective mobile-based digital diagnostic app, powered by machine-learning technology.
