This article is in continuation with my previous article: Some Westerners Object to Indian Sense of Hygiene . Here, I wish to cover the effect of climate on dietary habits and their impact on health. Preamble : Vegetarians are criticised for not eating meat. It is considered that meat consumed is directly proportional to how rich a country is. They raise a question:  Why are most Indians vegetarian?

The explanation is: When plenty of vegetarian food is available, the human beings don't need to eat meat in order to live. It is not all about religious beliefs but also about animal rights, adverse ecological and health effects. History: Pre-historic man ate meat. Later to achieve stability the man moved to socialisation, human settlements started cultivation of crops and people adopted vegetarian food also.
