In present day medicine stethoscope topic is rather difficult to explain but whatever may be the recent advances in medicine stethoscope will remain an important tool to a clinician. It may be losing a bit of importance these days. In past a clinician would look for murmurs in a cardiac case and look for breathing sounds, wheezes of bronchi in a chest case. Even bowls sounds were heard by stethoscope however with advent of recent gadgets it may be losing some importance.
