A prospective cross-sectional study published in the Indian Journal of Dermatology evaluated subclinical enthesitis in 91 patients with chronic plaque psoriasis at a tertiary care hospital in East India between January 2024 and January 2025. Patients with psoriatic arthritis or systemic conditions were excluded. Psoriasis Area Severity Index and Dermatology Life Quality Index scores were recorded, while ultrasonography assessed 12 entheseal sites using the Outcome Measures in Rheumatology (OMERACT) scoring system for inflammatory changes, including hypoechogenicity, thickening, and Doppler signal, and structural changes, including calcifications, enthesophytes, and erosions.
