The Supreme Court of India has issued a notice to the National Testing Agency (NTA) regarding alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2024 exam, requesting a response by July 8. A petition filed by a learning app cited "inconsistent" calculation of NEET-UG marks and issues with the provision of OMR sheets to students. The Court sought the NTA's clarification on the time limit for raising grievances related to the OMR sheets. The court also criticized the involvement of coaching centers in examination authoritues, stating they have "no role to play" beyond providing their services.
The centers should not be responsible for the duties of the examination authorities. Will the Supreme Court’s intervention help improve the NEET examination process?
