The COVID-19 disease often results in severe hypoxia, which requires surgical airway management. Since SARS-CoV-2 virus spreads via respiratory droplets, bag-mask ventilation, intubation, and extubation may place HCPs performing the procedure at risk. While existing recommendations address the issue of surgical airway management in patients with COVID-19, no guidelines are in place, especially for difficult airway management. Certain strategies normally recommended for difficult airway management may not be ideal in the setting of the current pandemic.
To address this issue, we have organized an exclusive webinar by Dr. Anjoo Choudhary , on the topic “ Surgical Management of Airway in COVID-19 patients” on 8 th September 2021, 3:00 PM onwards. Stay tuned for this exclusive session!
