A delivery driver had his life saved by doctors in Abu Dhabi in a first-of-its-kind operation in the UAE. Doctors of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi performed the operation. A delivery driver was almost crushed to death by a bus in Sharjah during his work shift. The patient was reported to suffer from a total rupture of his windpipe. Unfortunately, no other hospital could admit the patient due to the associated complications.

That is when the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) stepped in and performed the surgery. CT scan revealed a large section of the patient's windpipe was severed.
