The changing scenario of medical qualification in India, MBBS is being increasing considered a basic degree. The further value addition through MD or diplomas has become inevitable. Making MD the basic degree with integrating them with crucial areas of MBBS, evolving a specialized specific education would create professionals, in shorter time decreasing the doctor- patient ratio.
