Multiple myeloma (MM) is a malignant disorder that can be characterized by unrestrained proliferation of clonal plasma cells thereby leading to a wide range of complexities and eventually leading to the death of the patient. The disorder accounts for 10% of the hematological malignancies and an average life expectancy of a patient with MM is about 5 to 7 years. The diagnosis of MM is often difficult due to non-specific symptoms.

Therefore, a longer time is required for the diagnosis of the disorder, which in turn leads to more complications in patients. In this video, Dr. Punit Jain discusses Multiple Myeloma and the symptoms leading to the suspicion of the disorder.
