I recently got a pt who is a maid aged 20 years who c/o sudden pain & swelling rt knee joint and cannot walk. No H/O trauma.Physical examination OK. Aceclofenac with PCM prescribed. Within 1 day the pain and swelling disappeared, but she had swelling of whole rt leg.. Diuretic prescribed, swelling subsided,now pain in rt hip joint.
Thinking of rheumatism, I asked about sore throat & she had a bad sore throat about 1 1/2 months ago and treated at native place with 3 days of medicines.. O/E there was a pus point in rt tonsil. I Iprescribed erythromucin and aspirin and asked to undergo Lab tests .Her parents took away the pt and did local treatment. Condition Being same they took her to CNMCH where they advised only Urine test. Now I hear that her hand is swollen NOW my question is---what line of investigation and treatment is advisable?
