As a medical doctor, I did support a strike once. My heart was not in it. I felt, if the reason for the strike is to improve the conditions of working for everybody, then I am for it; if it is to improve patient care, I am for it. But if it is only to increase the pay package, I am not for it.
But now, the issue is the safety of medical fraternity; it is about patient's "well-wishers" taking matters and the law into their own hand, of assaulting doctors, hence things are much worse now. Are we right in only striking work? Should we do more?
