Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) has become one of the top ten autoimmune diseases in India. Studies have reported an increase of 17.8% RA incidences in the past 2 decades as per the national urban registries. The data accrued by the National Arthritis Registry Program (NARP) reflects the number of newly diagnosed RA to be within 0.28- 0.7% in 2016. Understanding the epidemiology of RA in India is necessary to drive strategies for disease management.
