Majority of Indian doctors take fee on 1st visit and 2nd visit is often free in a stipulated time that generally varies from 3days to 10 days. Surgeons usually don't take fee when patient visits for removal of stitches. Gynaecs usually don't take fee from their delivered patients whenever they visit after delivery for various post partum problems like pain in episiotomy, constipation, engorged breasts etc.
