Doctors have claimed that thousands of lives have been lost every year due to lack of immediate quality care, as emergency care is not available at many places in India. Emergency medicine is concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries that needs immediate medical attention and the patient’s condition should be inspected by a team of specialists as soon as possible. The experts of healthcare field have mentioned that many people are still unaware about the importance of ‘golden hour’ for the treatment of emergency cases like accident, stroke, heart attack and etc.
They also added that, all the people involved in healthcare should be trained in basic life support (BLS) procedure.
