1. Recently I heard an oration on the management of PPH by a Doctor who wishes to contest for the top post of top-most association. I was surprised there was no mention of SR Canulas and after talking, I was surprised that the doctor is not aware of SR canulas. In the same meeting during interactions, I came to know many senior obstetricians are not aware either. It is unfortunate.
It is time FOGSI conducts a multi centric study on the effectiveness and usefulness of SR canulas which I believe is the panacea for saving lives from PPH. Any labour room that does not have these canulas be made liable for negligence in conducting labor under the Consumer Protection Act. 2.
