50 years old lady with uncontrolled Diabetes - FBS ;400+ and PPBSL: 550+ on 60 units of insulin daily and Glimepride 4mg od Patient cannot tolerate Metformin ( Loose motions ), Pioglitazone ( severe oedema). Gly Hb : 14.6. Renal parametors normal, No micro albuminuria! Pt was admitted and insulin was gradually stepped up - upto 220 IU daily.
Her FBS came down to 300-330 and PPBSL 350-380 after 10 days of treatment. What is the further course of action?
