Safety Effectiveness Efficiency  Patient centeredness Timeliness Equity An ideal health care system is one where the patients are well protected as there is a safety mechanism in place to minimize mistakes, to preempt making errors and to identify and to correct it if it happens. The system is to be effective, that means the best available knowledge is put into practice to maximize the outcome and the system has to be efficient which means that the best result is obtained using the optimum resources and minimizing waste and avoiding unnecessary treatment.
