Head and neck cancer is the term collectively used for cancers that usually begin in the squamous cells that line inside the surface of the upper aerodigestive tract (paranasal sinuses, nasopharynx, hypopharynx, larynx, oral cavity, nostrils, and salivary glands). Head and neck cancers can be cured if diagnosed earlier but unfortunately, in most of the cases, it is detected in later stages. This guideline is regarding the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancer by the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM).
