A 3 year old boy with suspected esophageal perforation after ingestion of lye (which is a strong caustic alkaline solution of potassium salts obtained by leaching wood ashes; used in making soaps) came to visit me. The thoracic esophagus showed stricture of 3-4 cm in length at the mid esophagus along with no extra-luminal contrast extravasation.

The small bowel follow-through was normal, and showed no evidence of obstruction, stricture, or malrotation. What can be the further management of this case?
