A Patient 65 years old live in Hyderabad, a retired Banker, is a known case of DM for last 15 Years ,He is on Glimepiride and Metformin ,His last follow-up in Hospital OPD 3 months ago documented satisfactory glycemic status (FBG 6.3mmol/L.AL 7.8 mmol/L & Hb1c 6.8%).Fiften days ago he lost his wife in a tragic car accident , Their only son is studying in USA ,who could not manage to come home Except a teen aged maind servant there is none to look after the patient at home. In the meantime, he became irregular in diet and drugs, and progressively became weak , one morning he was found unconscious and febrile in his bedroom where he is living alone. Question: 1 what is the possible diagnosis ? 2. Do you want to hospitalize the patient ?
