Probable cause of sudden onset unilateral pedal swelling with pitting edema in a known diabetic(controlled type2 dm),normotensive elderly pt whose color doppler,RFT,uric acid are withing normal limit. Swelling is painless and non progressive.

Is it a case of hyperthyroidism?
