The Union Home and Health Ministries conducted a virtual meeting with several state Chief Secretaries and Director Generals of Police to discuss the implementation of necessary safety measures to protect HCPs across the country. The meeting focused on the urgent actions needed from State Governments and Union Territories to address the growing safety concerns within healthcare facilities. During the meeting, the Home Ministry instructed the state authorities to ensure the installation of CCTV cameras in healthcare facilities, integration with the Emergency Response Support System’s helplines (112), and the establishment of control rooms in large hospitals.
