The USFDA has approved anacaulase-bcdb, a botanical product containing proteolytic enzymes, to remove eschar in adult patients with deep partial- and/or full-thickness thermal burns. The approval was based on data obtained in pre-clinical and clinical trials, including a pivotal phase 3 clinical study (DETECT).
