Often we experience unusual acts that relatives of patients admitted in the ICU do for their loved ones. It ranges from performing weird traditions and rituals to the emotional breakdown of family members. At many instances, we doctors have to cope up with this behavior which not only reduces our attention from the patient but also increase the level of stress in the ICU.
Additionally, relatives take it as an offence if they are told not to perform such acts in the ICU. Have you come across any such silly acts during your practice? Let us share our experiences in this community.
