Electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) use, commonly known as vaping, has gained popularity as a perceived safer alternative to traditional cigarette smoking. However, e-cigarettes contain harmful substances, including nicotine, volatile organic compounds, and heavy metals, which can contribute to respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. Studies have shown that e-cigarette use is linked to endothelial dysfunction, increased oxidative stress, inflammation, severe respiratory distress, and lung damage.
