A 60 years old male patient with confirmed diagnosis of non-alcoholic cirrhosis reported radiologist for yearly monitoring of USG abdomen. The purpose of the test was told and doctor enquired h/o alcohol drinking which was negative. The report was grade1 coarse liver parenchymal disease despite telling proven case of non-alcoholic cirrhosis.was not satisfied who consulted other The patient was not satisfied so, consulted another well-known radiologist. Here patient only revealed monitoring USG. Here final report was cirrhosis with portal hypertension.
In such incidents how should a patient react? Is it possible due to different sonography machine? Where lies the fault? Kindly share.
