Venous aneurysms are unusual vascular malformations and can be defined as persistent isolated dilatation of twice the normal diameter of the vein. In contrast to arterial aneurysms, recommendations for their management are not well-defined. Additionally, venous aneurysms have been associated with the potential risk of thromboembolism.
