Water crisis is escalating in Tamil Nadu in this year than any other years. Even hotels are being closed in Chennai for want of water. In our admission unit we are seeing Enteric fever and Hepatitis A infection as proved by Anti HAV positivity, increased incidence for the past two months. So, it indirectly denotes water in our place is not potable and hygienic .But everybody is waiting for the rain to end water crisis.In the mean time every patient admitted is advised about taking water after boiling to prevent further episode in the family and neighbourhood .
To prevent or reduce water crisis, there is a method available namely putting 1 KM depth bore well and is being tried in Karnataka. It costs around 12.8 crores in terms of money.
