Synopsis Distinguishing malignant thyroid nodules from benign ones by sonograms alone is a challenging task. The ultrasound Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System (TI-RADS) is the most widely accepted method for diagnosis and grading of thyroid nodules. However, this method has its own drawbacks. The present study aims to unfold a new and improved model to differentiate between benign and malignant thyroid nodules based on their ultrasound features.
