A primi aged 21 yrs had a weight gain of 24 kgs , pre and post partum. Normally a women gains 10 to 12 kgs over the period of her pregnancy. She underwent LSCS and operation was without any complications. Family history of DM , present.

Both her father and mother are diabetics. However pt was non diabetic and not hypertensive . Wt of the baby was 3.5 kgs. Such a gain, is it Normal or Abnormal?
