The IMA will be submitting an alternative proposal for the National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill to the parliament after a meeting with the parliamentary standing committee. IMA members are reportedly drafting an alternative proposal on NMC Bill since January 24. The NMC bill intends to replace MCI and reform medical education in India. The parliamentary standing committee had a meeting with the IMA to understand their objections to the Bill and have suggested them to submit an alternative proposal. After this meeting, a committee of IMA members has drafted an alternative proposal that will be submitted to parliament soon.
