Medically, we tend to define true piles to the patient as the haemorrhoids which are either Grade 2,3 or 4 when internal or the perpetually external ones. Since, Grade 1 internal haemorrhoids seldom pop out, so they tend to be anoscopically diagnosed as internal piles. Occasionally, the prolapsed internal haemorrhoids or thrombosed external ones are also explained as acute piles.
