A patient reported of dull pain of stomach. FNAC confirmed Neoplastic glandular epithelium on the tail end of pancreas. The patient is also suffering from thrombocytopenia - 70000. A surgical intervention was done including splenectomy and removal of the tail of pancreas keeping the neck and body intact. The surgery was done without any complications. On 7th-day post-operative, the platelet count went on decreasing along with hypoproteinemia.

The scenario was treated with almost 9 units of PRF as well as albumin. The patients platelet count still went on decreasing until 26000 but she was conscious and under fat restricted diet. On the 13th postoperative day after having her regular oral feeds, she suddenly collapsed of unknown reason. On the 15th day the condition went terribly wrong and she died. What might be the possible cause that had ended up in such a dangerous situation?
